~Out on the Tiles~

Almost three and a half hours of SHEER *****ING GLORY.

I just got back from it, and I think most would agree that it raised the bar for what a super hero movie should be forever.

The philosophical dialogue was crafted to perfection. As for the action, I felt as though I was watching an old Samurai film: long build up with bits of quick killing thrown inbetween. They didn't sour the film by making it nothing but a shoot-em-up which was a pleasant surprise.

A very grim film.

I also found there to be a bit more technological realism in this than in previous films. Of course, sort of flying by means of a cape is still a total crock of ***** but I really found myself thinking that at least half of The Bats "wonderful toys" were truly believable.

And as for Heath Ledgers portrayal of The Joker: the best yet. While I remain an eternal fan of the Nicholson version, this version was hilarious in mannerism and audacity alone. No forced humor. Just brutality and honesty so fierce that you have to laugh at it's absurdity.

He is in the very beginning, working with a bunch of batman wannabes trying to fight crime. Batman ties him up and stops him.

It was pretty good and kept me on the edge of my seat. Long as hell, but it was worth 3 and a half hours.

This really was a great performance for Heath Ledger to go out on.

Heath did AMAZING.
The movie was a lot better than most of the action /super heroe movies released in the past decade.

I can't say I loved it, though, because the end of the movie was a complete turn off for me.
I hated it, it seemed to me that they tried to make it smart and unexpected, but it just seemed forced and empty.

If it wasn't for Heath Ledger's interpretation of the Joker, this movie wouldn't be as good as it is. But I have to agree it's in a superior level than all the previous super heroe movies.

I love long movies so I loved this movie. I really like both versions of the joker, each were unique to what they had to do. Heath did an amazing job for the version of the joker he did. Definetely an awesome movie, which I simply loved watching, I Even thought two face was better done now because his face was more realistical

SHUTUPPPPPPPP i have had enough of everyone praising HEATH he is JUST AN ACTOR nothing more NOTHING LESS. If I wanted to I can do the perfect role of the joker... ITS NOT LIVE TELEVISION. If it takes me 200099 takes I can do the role of the joker just as perfect.

The media is just praising him so more people go see HIS movies after HIS death since they'll never see him again.. you know that right?

I have added it with your attitude. He DID do a great job whether he would be a live right now or dead. It makes no difference a role is a role and he did his part really good. YOU WOULD NOT do his part well. Acting isnt as easy as you think. He changed his voice, changed his way of being, he had to think like the joker. So you know what you shut up.

He was acting.. anyone who acts like a character thinks like a character. Pretend I'm acting as a rapper.. I have to think up rhymes and verses.

Not everyone can do it great. Some actors really suck at the charatcer they are acting. While others do their role really good. Which was the case with Heath Ledger. Im not saying I like allof his movies or anything, I simply loved him as the joker. Most of his other movies im not even interested in

I have to agree as well. I'm not a huge Heath fan but his portrayal was awesome. Anyone who knows anything about the original batman stories (and not the movies or cartoons) can valche for that one. I loved the movie and have now seen it twice.
